Sandy was a feral, stray dog being taken care of by an older lady and some other people experiencing homelessness. The city was called to help her, but they never came and she was unfortunately attacked by another stray dog. With the help of people on the street, we were able to catch her and get her to the vet for treatment. Not only did she have to heal from the attack, we had to treat her for Heartworm as well. It was a slow healing process and took her a long time to trust people. She is now living on a farm in Virginia with her mom Hope and sister Dixie having the time of her life! Finally able to cuddle with and trust people.
